Its about surviving at this stage. I topped up with good quality supplements but i hear ya. I felt guilty i couldn’t stomach much else.
I found the snack a jacks rice cakes really helped me! And dried fruit and nuts as sometimes fresh fruit would make me feel even worse at times! For main meals I’d often make a chicken stir fry with fresh ginger in it as the ginger helped subside the nausea and I was still getting in a good portion of veg and protein. Plenty of water and smoothies too xx
Fruit has acid which isn't good for sickness, I learnt that the hard way😫 Not great but for alot of my pregnancy I had crisps even then I threw up but it wasn't that bad. Even if you just have smoothies etc that's good enough it's something at least.
I was sick with my first and absolutely nothing helped, and in all honesty because I was being sick I actually lost weight instead of gaining it
Don’t worry too much about nutrition and gaining weight at this point, like others have said it’s just about eating what you can and surviving. I really struggled in the first and start of second trimester but have got back to more normal eating now. Don’t feel guilty about eating “rubbish” food, the nutritional food will come later when you’re feeling better 💗
I could only really handle beige foods, but sometimes potato waffles/smiley faces or chicken nuggets felt slightly healthier (and more filling) than bread or crisps.
I know this isn’t the greatest in terms of nutrition, but whole grain cheerios with oat milk have really helped me
