TTC first baby

My husband and I are currently going through IVF. I've been on medication since December 30th and have our next appointment Wednesday to see if we are ready for our egg retrieval Friday or Saturday. I'm 32 have PCOS but also have a deminishing egg reserve so I only have about 4 eggs on each side. Really nervous about the unknown and praying we at least get one good egg to use. The medication is no fun and the bloating sucks so really hoping it works the first time and I don't have to go through a second round. Would love some friends going through similar stuff or people who can offer support/advice.

I was there and I had 2 retrievals so I know how you feel very well love... It is a hard journey but we are fighters I am currently pregnant from my 3 transfer but this one was frozen Previous 2 was in fresh transfer. It happens we just need to believe and trust I am quite early days ATM 7+5 but first time I am this far as I had 4 Early MC so wishing little strong fighter is staying with us ♥️ been a long journey for us since 2021 but it is worthy. It's such a tough journey, sending you so much love. The medication is hard on the body and mind. The wait in between steps is what tool a toll on me. The best advice I got was from my doctor. She told me to stay neutral, not too excited or too negative, and just to take things as they are. We did 4 egg retrievals, I was 40 at the time, so I wanted to bank some embryos. I'm now holding my baby girl, the one healthy embryo we got from the first retrieval and first FET. My best advice for anyone going through IVF is, stay neutral, one step at a time, and try not to make yourself crazy with "IVF math".

Hiya, I started meds on the 29th and am going for my scan tomorrow to see if egg collection will be Friday or Monday. So if you wanna chat with someone at a similar stage as you I’m here. It’s quite the rollercoaster so far so I empathise with everything you’re feeling ❤️‍🩹

They were seeing 4-5 follicles on each side for me too during follicle scans. After the trigger I think some more grew because they were able to retrieve 13 eggs. Only 8 were mature but it was still a great start. I had 5 that fertilized. I just found out 2 of them didn’t make it this morning, but I still have 3 blasts going off to pgt-a testing. Just because there’s only about 4 on each side doesn’t mean you won’t or can’t get more! And it’s all about the quality over quantity at the end of the day. The medication does suck, but I hope you get a good outcome. Sending you tons of baby dust and prayers 🫶🏽
