Bath Seats

Hi! I’m just wondering what seat everyone uses for bath time? We currently use the angelcare baby bath support and it’s been great up until now! My baby is a 99 percentile baby and also a fidgety one, every time she moves, her bum comes off the end of the seat. I never take my eye off her during bath time but i’m petrified that she’ll slip off whilst i’m shampooing her hair etc. I’ve looked into bath chairs (the ones where they’re actually sitting up) but they all recommend baby is sitting on their own before using these, which mine isn’t. I’m just not sure whether to stay with our current one or switch - both options don’t really seem ideal right now so open to recommendations!

We currently fold a towel as a pillow and baby lays on his back in the bath. We only put a bit of water in and he loves splashing with his arms and legs x

Sounds a bit mental try turning the seat upside down and sitting her in that bit. Or run a tiny shallow amount of water and let her lie down in it thats what we do with my youngest at her grandparents x

I just chuck on a bikini and get in the bath too, I find that having him sit on my lap or between my legs is so much easier and I get a better grip rather than leaning over the bath. Need to be careful getting in and out tho, I sometimes get my partner to help me at that point

Same problem baby girl is on the 91st percentile and she was hurting herself in the seat ,she also can’t sit up on her own so the bath chair is a no no - I honestly just bath with her it’s a really lovely bonding experience but I would say you would need someone to help I act as the seat and dad washes her- I definitely wouldn’t do it on my own
