Concussion worries 😫

My girl (18 months) literally ran face first into a wall🙈 I was next to her going to the bath & she just bolted where she was excited and misjudged the entrance to the bathroom and face planted the wall!! The bang was so loud & she fell back, when I picked her up I instantly thought it must have knocked her out it was so loud! It didn’t, she cried for about 1 minute then went back to shouting at me to get her clothes off for the bath and saying “I ok” everytime I asked her 😂 It’s been 3 hours now, there’s no lump or mark, she hasn’t been sick, playing, eating, drinking like normal and has gone to bed at usual time. Should I be worried? I can’t stop thinking about it honestly I couldn’t believe she was ok, the noise was so loud!!! 😞😞

I wouldn't be worried based on what you've said! Sometimes the bang makes the injury sound a lot worse than it was. Sounds like you are looking out for all the right things so just keep an eye on her x

I wouldn’t be worried. My 19 month old has had some brutal bangs to the head (obviously accidental)😫 I’ve gone into massive panic and always followed advice. One thing I learned was if there swelling comes out (egg) it’s a good thing. If it’s a dent, not so good. But no other symptoms, and being her normal self she will be fine! Just keep monitoring🥰

My son tripped running and landed face first on into the side of his cot. When I picked him up his nose was deep purple and looked deformed. I rushed him to A&E and other than a bruised nose he was absolutely fine - i couldn't believe it with the way he fell and the sound it made. What they checked for was any physical deformity on the skull and face, fluid from the nose or ears, bleeding from nose or ears, vommitting and any changes in behaviour.
