Bit nervous about this happening in 2 weeks. Positive stories? I’m emetophobic 🙃

I am the same ☹️ but it was actually nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I was fine. I had some water with me which I took small sips from occasionally as you’re not allowed to down lots of it but that also really helped.

Is it the drink you’re worried about? If so, it’s honestly not that bad! I don’t know if all hospitals are the same, but my drink was just a clear liquid, with a really indistinct flavour! It wasn’t particularly nice, but it wasn’t so bad that it was hard to drink! The flavour was like a mix of floral and fruity, but again, not really that strong! Then you’ve just got a really long wait, in what will probably be quite a hot waiting area (although I’ve heard some hospitals give people a bed), so just wear something comfortable and bring something to keep you entertained! My hospital wasn’t that strict, so when I had about half an hour before my next blood test, I just had a little wander about, as the waiting area was quite busy, and then found where I was meant to be going for the second test, as that was in a different area! The test is more boring than anything else, so don’t worry too much about it! x

I had a very neutral experience if it helps! Drank it quickly because it wasn't appetising on an empty stomach. Worst part was waiting around really, treat yourself to a nice breakfast after so you have something to look forward to.

I’ve literally just had it, it was fine!

Mine was absolutely fine. The drink just tasted like flat cheap lucozade. If anything, it was just boring sitting around for 2 hours!!!! X

I had mine a few weeks ago and was absolutely fine. I was worried about the taste of the drink and being able to stomach it, but it was ok. Mine was a fruity flavour and was super sweet, almost like a fruit syrup sweetness. The worst part for me was also the two hours! I took a book and did a mixture of reading and doom scrolling 😂 I know a few people went for a walk, so you can always go and get some air if you think you need it

Did anyone get diarreah after where their stomach was sensitive lol

I had mine last week, I had porridge the night before and drank a lot of water as they always struggle to take my bloods. Was fine the next morning, drink tasted like orange capri-sun. Had bloods after 2 hours and went home.. wasn’t half as bad as I expected!
