Indoor at-home play ideas (send help!)😬

👋 SAHM here of a 19mo boy who is VERY active. On days when it’s not horrendous weather we tend to play outside a LOT and spend a good chunk of time out of the house, even just on a walk to the shops, and it really helps us both to regulate and breaks up the day. Imagine my delight when it began to snow - I was so excited for hours spent outside playing in the snow! Well, he HATES it and cries every time we go outside. Zero interest in playing in the snow at all and demands to go straight back inside 😂 I can’t even take him on a walk in the pushchair because we live on a super steep hill which is totally iced over so I don’t dare 😬 So, we’ve been stuck at home indoors for days now and I’m starting to go a bit stir-crazy. We’ve played with and read everything we own, multiple times, and had more screen time than the last few months combined. Please give me your BEST age-appropriate at-home indoor play ideas! He’s not brilliant at sitting still but I am willing to try anything because my ideas are all out 😂

Kidzplay in Shipley is nice, funzy in Bradford is inflatables and I think is cheaper for toddlers in the morning, Thornton hall farm has animals and softplay £4 for toddlers, the hidden village in Keighley has raving reviews, my son is to old but the preschooler rave about it, you can also try moo music she does ad hoc sessions and other toddler groups, rhythm time is also sometimes adhoc i think and you can go to any if you sign up xx

And tingley and tong garden centres has soft play which is pretty good and have indoor and outdoor fun… jumping pillows etc x

@Millie we love these places too! They are definitely in our weekly rotations 😁 never done Thornton hall though, that’s a great recommendation! I was actually meaning at-home play though as we are totally snowed-in and can’t leave the house!

I feel you Elsa, we’ve been in all week too as it’s too bad to get out and I’m losing my mind 🤯 my 9 year old is so bored (will play out but it’s too cold to stay out too long) and my 1 year old is literally climbing the walls 🤣 roll on the thaw Monday!
