How to stop breastfeeding my 14months old
Hello Mamas,
Please can some one advice tips on how to stop breastfeeding my 14 month old. She still likes to feed to sleep at night and for nap during the day. She’s totally fine when I am not around but when I am there she just won’t settle without it. My aim was to breastfeed for 12months I’m so glad we did that. But now I really to stop and want her to have cows milk fully which she sometimes have but never finish her full bottle.

Just wanted to say you’ve done amazing to get that far! I don’t have any tips unfortunately but also in the same boat. We’re at 13 months but feel like she’d now rather my boob for comfort than finishing her bottle 🤦🏽♀️x

Hi I stopped breastfeeding at 15months for my little girl. We watched a lot of videos and read about it and it helped. So sharing from my personal experience, see what suits you and your baby. We started to basically cut down on day feeds and once that was done we slowly started on night feeds. My partner helped me as he had to divert the baby from the feed so it took around 3-5 days and she started getting the point. Also you can talk to them and explain that your boobs need to rest and sleep too. This was a hack I saw online and it helped me. You can get in touch with me on message if you need more help.
