Every 2 or 3 days
Once a week with just water and coconut oil after whilst his skin was very peely and he hated baths now he’s 3 weeks old his skin seems less dry the cord is gone and he loves baths we do every night or every other night with baby soap depending on his skin we feel like he does need a proper clean every day from all the dribbling and pooping :-)
Couple of times a week
First wash was last night at 3 weeks old. I just held him to me in the shower and let the water run over him, he feel asleep in seconds. A bit of aveeno shampoo to clean his hair gently and a wash around his bits. Coconut oil after on his skin. My daughter was a huge shower fan too over baths.
6week old, 1-2 times a week x
4 weeks old, didn’t bath him until day 2 weeks and once cord had fallen off. Only bath every few days now.
I bath my 5 week old every night. He seems to love it and it settles him for his bedtime routine. Only water and baby soap every other day. Cover him in baby coco oil and massage his feet and legs and it really soothes him
Baby is just over 2 weeks and he’s had 2 baths so far; his umbilical cord fell off at day 6. But we’re going with once a week with just water and spare breast milk and then just a wash on the days in between x
Our baby came home from the NICU at 36 weeks old... its been 5 weeks now and we only do twice a week. Doc told us it helps them build colonies (immunity) a lot better as regular bathing strips them of helpful bacteria.
My LG is 5 weeks old now and we bath her every night and have done for the last two weeks as it settles her before bed and establishes that routine. On the days we don’t bath her she’s very irritable so I’m sticking with what works for us. I only use water I don’t put anything in it like bubble bath and then I moisturise her skin thoroughly after x
