Nurses or anyone that work long hours How have you scheduled your rota to save on childcare cost My husband works Monday to Friday 7-4 with long commute I cannot do permanent night and my manager is unable to let me work weekends only I have to do 3 days a week I am currently having to use childminder 2 days a week but it is super expensive I need ideas please

I’m currently doing 30 hours over three days. Our nursery opens 0630-1830. I work weds-Friday and it’s perfect for me

Our nursery is 7-6 I usually drop off before work and partner picks up … nursery’s are really not ideal for nhs hours unfortunately 😩

@Lucy how much do you pay if you don’t mind me asking I have reduced to 34.5 but still 7:730 So i have to pay minder unsocial hours

I did a 2 week set rota, 12 hour shifts. Monday and Tuesday day one week (he went to nursery monday and my parents had him the Tuesday. Then Monday day and Friday night shift the following week. Did some agency night shifts adhoc and stayed awake (that was a killer).
