Help creating a schedule!

How do those of you who work from home with little ones do it? My son is 17 months now and I’m struggling with meeting my work from home hours when he’s not in daycare. Does anyone have suggestions on getting a good schedule going?

It’s kind hard to describe but I’ll try my best. I try to get him up an hour so more before starting if my start time is around 8-9am. Change, feed, play/entertain between play pen and Ms Rachel. Then keep doing this until I’m off work. While he’s playing, I power thru work tasks. Tends to sleep more towards end of shift. Of course my son is younger & taking more naps than yours. But his naps are very short.

He likes to contact nap so we’ve been slowly stopping that - he’ll nap like a champ at daycare but at home he needs to be on me. 🤦🏼‍♀️

We get up 3-4 hours before I start work so about 1 hour in he’ll nap and that’s when I try to do all my work lol

I accidentally created a night owl. He goes to bed between 10 and 12 and I go to bed between 11 and 1. I have to work at 9 but he usually sleeps in til 10:30ish at least so I can knock out my inbox and my first 2 meetings. Instead of scheduling him around work, I arrange my work around him so I give myself some time after 10:30 without stuff on my calendar to get him up, changed, breakfast, and playing on his own before my next call. Usually he will be content feeding himself in his high chair for about half an hour then I let him down to play. If I have a lot of meetings I will toss up old school Elmo's world or Ms Rachel for a bit. Then he naps usually getting tired by like 2 or 3, sleeps around 2 hours and then I'm done or almost done for the day.
