A reward chart with stickers and weekly minutes. Week one-every 15minutes Week two- every 20minutes Week three- every 40minutes Week four-every 1hour. I also did a no pull-up or underwear for a few hours. And if you notice they’re already going pick them up and bring them to the potty. Also even after they already went potty you can bring them to the potty just so they get the idea. For speech, it goes a lot into you reading and talking. Along with learning videos on YouTube!!! Love them!

Any Advice on potty in public places ? We were doing good until it was time to head to the stores he wanted to sit on the toilet inside of standing up

We go potty before leaving the house, and use pull-ups when you leave for the first month of training at home. And the second month is for going into public. If it’s speech that makes it hard try to just use one word everytime you go say “potty?” And have him shake his head yes or no. Or you could even just take him into the bathroom everytime you go somewhere. Until he’s completely potty trained for at least 3 months, keep doing pull ups and if you’re comfortable enough do underwear on and off where you know you’ll be able to clean up and change him quickly. Sitting down is good if we don’t know if he needs to poop or pee. If you want him standing I’d wait until he can speak better to tell you if it’s pee or poop

We tried potty training a couple months ago and i notice he did so well at home with just undies ! Barely any accidents. Once it was time to head out to stores (about 1 1/2 weeks later ) i used pull ups on him and it almost set him back fully . He wouldnt “tell” me when he needed to potty and was back to having accidents in the undies . Then i tried taking him to use the bathroom at a store and he wouldnt . He wouldnt even go in his pull up (not sure if the store bathroom intimated him or what) eventually he couldnt hold his pee in anymore and went potty in his pull up . After that experience he went back to only using his pull ups and wouldnt go potty at home anymore

They say it takes 6 months to potty train. There will be lots of regressions. We did my daughter at 2 yo and she didn’t talk much then. She would just take off to the toilet when she needed to pee. In public we would just go before leaving the house and then either when we get where we’re going or before we leave. It took about 6 months before she would tell us “peepee”. We never did use pull ups, we just brought 2 extra pairs of pants/undies/socks and a pair of shoes everywhere we went Incase of accidents. Also, why can’t he sit on the toilet in public?
