Child benefit backpayment
Hi, iv applied for child benefit LO was born 27th October, I applied for benefits at the end of December /start of January. I got my 1st payment there 12th January £204 and 9th January £102. is this correct or should. I contact them about backpayment?

@Orla thanks just thought I would have gotten something for the week she was born too
I think because it wasn’t a full week you wouldn’t get anything.
My LO was born in July but was poorly so was in the hospital a lot and therefore I didn't get applying until September- I'm still waiting!! Ridiculous. They've told me that it should be April by the time I hear back.

No that’s correct. The £204 would be for November and December and the £102 for January. If you log into your HMRC account it’ll give you a breakdown.
