My OB put me on a progesterone pill called Erinn until I’m done breastfeeding. I refused to use an IUD 😂
I always see so many mixed reviews on iuds .. my ob recommend it to me haven't got it yet but I hope it's not as bad
I’m doing the copper IUD because I don’t do well on hormones
About to start progesterone pill, i already take meds twice a day and the same two times so I'm going to pick one of those times so I never miss it. Pill has always worked for me cause this reason, you really need to take it about the same time every day for it to be most effective
Nexplanon (tiny implant in arm) was my fave (prior to marriage/baby). I’m on the mini-pill now to not hurt my milk supply.
I don't plan on having any more babies, so I'm getting my tubes tied.
Thank you all , I like the nexplanon idea. @Alicia I had iud for 5 years and it would always feel it during intercourse also when I got it I bled for months sometimes huge clots that led me to ER multiple times
@Diamond I would NOT recommend it
@Alex any cons with nexplanon ?
@incognito i liked the nexplanon, it stopped my periods and it didn't cause any other side effects for me. I have heard it causes weight gain for some people but other than that I haven't heard bad things about it
None for me. I wish I could get back on it. The insertion and removal was easy, I would go months without a period, and my cramps were minimal and manageable
I'm doing the kyleena IUD but I never had one and I don't know what to expect. Pills never worked for me.
My OB let me know that there is currently a lawsuit against the manufacturer of the copper IUD. If anyone is thinking about getting that, I’d do some research first!
Idk after everything with the depo shot, for me its like i just had one kid and dont plan on having another cuz i have step kids to, so might get my tubes tied but always do your research on birth controls, looking for long term and short term affects, and make sure they don’t have law suits, and recalls, also on how it affects your long term hormones, your health matters the most especially if you want to have kids or more kids in future :)

None for us, I don’t do birth control while breastfeeding. I haven’t been on birth control since 2020 I don’t even know how my body would react 😩
Also wondering this! I'm so nervous about the iud cause everyone says that it hurts so bad getting it. I had nexplanon and really liked it until it started giving me really bad brain fog and felt like it was messing with my hormones or something but that took a few years.
