i had a loss before this one too, but it’s only really dangerous if they were to come out and get the strep from you so it’s really good they’ve picked up and it and when you are in labour they can give you the appropriate treatment! strep b can also come and go so just because you have it now doesn’t mean you will have it at time of delivery. regardless they will still give you antibiotics. it’s also only harmful to baby during birth as it lives in the vagina (cervix) xx
no worries! i had it my whole pregnancy and had no idea until they told me in labor and gave me antibiotics! i thought they were gonna do the group b test but they never did bc when they pulled blood earlier in my pregnancy they saw
I’ve had throughout my whole my whole pregnancy and it’s nothing to worry about it doesn’t harm you but can be passed onto baby during vaginal delivery but when you go into labour you are put onto antibiotics to prevent it from spreading to baby
I have group b strep, you’re fine don’t worry. Antibiotics are only for birth to make sure nothing is passed through to baby. You can opt for a section if worried. I didn’t even know I had it with my first, only a swab after my smear did I find out when my first was 16 months. I’m 22 weeks now with second.
are you 9 weeks pregnant? i have group b strep and it was no issue during pregnancy or delivery! they just have me antibiotics during labour x
