I’m not sure what the right answer is but I know towards the end before I went on mat leave I would have been very grateful for the down time and definitely would have kept my head down. Perhaps they don’t want to overload you or send new work that you might not be able to get stuck into. I would maybe send them an email about something unrelated just as a prompt that you’re still there? Other than that, don’t draw attention to it and enjoy your time preparing and resting! X
Good idea. I’ll drop them a note. Thank you!! Xx
This sounds like a dream and very similar to my first pregnancy. I’d make the most of it and just drop a casual email related to some work you are focusing on. Can I ask why you are WFH? I wish my boss would have done this again
@Laura I didn’t request to be full time WFH, my very kind line manager told my MD I would have to be so I said all my face to face goodbyes before Christmas. I think it’s fair to ask to be full time WFH now if you want to! Xx
You could just drop them a note with good intention to offer to help if there’s anything additional that needs doing 🤷♀️ that’s what I would probably do just to maintain positive reputation but there’s a good chance they’re also just letting you have some down time out of kindness!
