Thanks for both your replies! I guess I’m worried that my fasting levels are borderline and does this put my baby at higher risk? Kirsty that sounds very scary! He’s beautiful
I believe that if your levels are well managed and within range, the risk of complications to baby drastically reduces so I would just focus on making sure you are on top of things. My little girl was born at 37+4 at 6.2lbs due to preeclampsia risk and had no issues with her glucose levels and Iv just had my first post partum blood test and I’m back to normal also
I was on insulin for fasting levels. Post meal was diet managed. He was born at 36+3 because I had an unrelated health issue. He was healthy and passed all his blood sugars
Today my fasting was 5.7
I was induced at 39 weeks back in August, and my baby was born perfectly healthy at 9 pounds 3 oz and 22 inches long! I managed my diabetes with diet and exercise, and now that he's born I'm back to normal and he is perfect. Wishing you the best🩵
