Pick a day and literally go nappy free. Only use nappies at night and for her lunchtime nap going forwards. Don’t confuse. Get a travel potty so you can go out and about. Don’t change your routine. Buy fun pants with motifs on and make a huuuuuuuge fuss when she goes on the potty. Take her to it every 15 mins. Stickers are great rewards. We started just before 2nd bday and 6 weeks on is waking up dry after a nap. Night nappies are different and are linked to hormones so nail the day time dryness first
Ah thank you so much for the tips ladies. So it sounds like we need to be consistent and strict when we want proper progress. Right now she has her nappies and we sometimes encourage her. She does it at her own pace. But it'll probably take ages like this 😂
For about 2 weeks before we started i kept saying were going to get rid of nappies and wear big girl knickers. When it came to the night before, i said to her to say bye to her nappies. When the day came she knew what was happening and shes done amazing. Been training since last Wednesday and have hardly any accidents, only time she wears a nappy/pull up is bedtime. We are having some issues with number 2s but other than that shes doing so well. We did bare bum for few days, but now shes been in knickers since Monday. Haven’t been anywhere too far yet but shes been nursery and only had one accident when she had a little nap. Just go for it and don’t go back to putting nappies on :) xx
