I got it a few months ago, and it’s okay. Much rather this than any hormonal contraceptive but periods are heavier and pains are worse, and has made my anaemia worse. Insertion was way better than expected, only ever read bad things but was surprisingly okay!
I had the copper coil and hated it. Heavy painful period and constant discharge. Got rid of it after about a year
I had the mirena prior to getting pregnant but am hoping to get the copper this time as I’d like to not have the artificial hormones making me go crazy

Had it for 10 plus year prior to having baby, waiting to have another post baby. Periods are heavier but it’s the best thing I did. No worries for 5 years. No for getting to take a pill and over all no hormones so overall a win win. I always recommend this to anyone that asks
