Honestly they have to go nude from the waist down for a week or so when at home for it to really stick. I’ve potty trained 3 kids by 2.5 and the second the panties or pull-up went on in the beginning, same thing - accidents. So after learning more about why, it’s just that they have a mental connection and comfort to the feeling of wearing something down there, which makes them habitually release, so take it away and sure you may have a few accidents and stubborn moments, but it really works because it’s shifting their awareness to the feeling of having to go. You have to stay consistent. Also rewards are key! Stickers, a treat, whatever peaks their interest. Also make it something you try every 30-60 mins in the beginning . https://a.co/d/8GLzqBm And we love these because they use it all through toddlerhood and you’re not dealing with them falling in or cleaning out a mini toilet forever. https://a.co/d/aVbexzL Also this is very helpful ^!
What helped me is an actually toilet looking potty. As soon as we got it she wanted to sit in there and I showed her fancy stickers and that I will only give her if she peed or pooed in the potty. It was a success until we moved homes and I got pregnant and got to redo the process!
What works for us is "getting rid of diapers" she only wears underwear during the day. And we have a little potty right in the living room cause that's where we spend most of our days. And then we have a potty chart every time she uses the potty she gets to put a sticker on the chart and I record the time and date she went just to keep track. And at the end of the day I reward her with a treat of her liking. And then pull ups at night.
i’m struggling my self with my 2year old
My daughter didn't want potty we got her toilet seat with steps she 2 years 4 month n we just started toilet training its going good soo far... I had to Google when to take her toilet so I just say let's go toilet and try have wee wee
@Shukri at first I introduced her to the potty but I guess she wasn’t ready so now that she tells me “I pee pee” I’m like ok so we ready just for her to be like, sike 😂
@Tiff thank you 🫶🏽
@Cheryl she has one but she rather play with it than use it 😂 she used it 2 times and was like ehhh no lol, and now that she has the one that u place on the actual toilet she’ll sit but won’t use the bathroom. Idk what tricks I gotta pull out to keep her on the toilet until she uses it
@Tasha she has a little potty but she’s not into it she used it once, she has the one u place on the toilet itself she’ll sit longer on that one than her little potty but still won’t use it
@Arii yw! good luck!!!
@Arii aww yeah that's tricky. Just have to keep at it! Once she starts going it will get easier. Best of luck!
You probably don’t wanna hear it but I’d honestly just wait a while and try again in a couple months. Why force it if she’s not ready - just stresses you out
@Sarah not much of it being forced yet I don’t want her to get comfortable and accustomed to diapers
Girl I’m struggling too! He hates using the potty I don’t know what to do
