We are doing a very tiny get-together with our American family in the States on Monday and then on her actual birthday we are having a very small family gathering back in the UK. I'm so so less stressed this year doing a small gathering 🙃
We just did a family day out and cake and presents at home.
We’re doing a family meal at a pub, and we’ll take her out for the day (can’t decide between zoo and soft play)
I think we are going to do a few things throughout the week, farm, maybe swimming and a role play cafe on his actual birthday, we looked at booking him a party but it’s so expensive for the amount of friends he has not worth paying £100-£200 for 5/6kids 😅 another idea we had was to just have his friends join him at the role play cafe but no one is really around on his birthday 😅x
We taking our second born son to the zoo then having lunch out somewhere with family. Nothing big
I am doing a mini maestros party at my house for about 5-6 children. My LO loves her music class so asked the teacher if she could do a small party at home xxx
We went to Bristol aquarium for his first birthday and then had a 1st birthday party on the Saturday and this year we are only doing the aquarium and then balloons and cake at home with grandparents coming over for picky bits xx
We did a small family gathering with his cousins last year. Will probably do the same this year, and send him with a cake to nursery so his buddies sing him happy birthday!
January is such a hard time for birthdays! I found everyone was busy after Christmas or getting ready to go back to work and then everything was either shut after Christmas activities or not really weather appropriate. We ended up doing the wonderland at the science museum and then the next day we did Hello, delight! An exhibit about Korea in London but it’s all just different rooms with lights and sounds projected. We did it last year before they updated it and my two loved dancing and running around exploring. Then the usual cake, gifts, music and dancing at home with just our little family. It was really lovely! X
We plan on taking her to a giant soft play centre & then lunch after with cake at home, like you we did a party for her 1st but this year there’s a lot going on 🎈
