Health Visitor

We had regular weigh ins for the first 6 months, baby was 50th percentile so assumed it was standard practice. I'd contact them for the one year health check

My health visitor saw my son last when he was around 6 months old, and said she'd see me again when he was 15 months old. Not sure if this is standard practice in Wales

There should be an appt around 10-12 months - I haven't got mine through yet either, but know our borough is behind. Maybe give them a call to check whether you're supposed to have had the letter yet? They'll likely require you to go to them, rather than a home visit, but again every area has their own way of doing it. Also haven't seen anyone since 2 weeks old, which is standard practice in England unless any concerns.

My baby boy didn’t get seen since he was a week old but they have contacted me for a 1 year review next month

There’s a 1 month review meeting which we had a text around when our daughter turned 10 months to book online. In our area though we go to them for them going forward, it was only the 2 and 6 weeks when they came to us and that’s the only ones we’ve had up to now

Haven't heard from mine since my LO was one month. 🤣 London really have a back log. I'm not that bothered though - my girl is healthy, happy and appears to be hitting milestones so I didn't feel a sense of loss

@Annem I’m the same, which is why I ignored it, but haha, it would actually be nice to be seen by a health visitor.

My baby had his health visitor check and he’s jus coming up to 11 months. They have an 8-12 months check apparently

We moved in the country when my baby boy was 6 months old. Once I registered him with NHS, I received a letter about what the general practice should be. I called them to ask for more details and they scheduled him for the 12 months review. It wasn’t a home visig though, I went to the children’s centre. Give them a call, this should help clarify your next step.

You should of seen them numerous times in between from birth, they see you normally around 8 weeks and then around 10 months: they send you letters out with an app u should of deffo got one x

@Sammi 💖 literally checked the last time I saw them was March 2024. They have booked me in for this month though, but yeah they should have seen me before

Haven't seen my health visitor since around 6 weeks got 12 month check up tomorrow morning x

I’m in Nottingham and we had a visit at 2 weeks (the 5 day one was performed by a midwife in the hospital as we were still there then), then at 10 weeks (it was the 6-8 week review but they kept having to reschedule) and then just had another home visit at almost 11 months for his 8-12month review. He was also seen by the GP during my 8-10 week PP check. Our next HV appointment will be when he is 2years.

In Oldham they will book few days before their 1st birthday.
