Potty training question (sorry)

Hey, so we were a bit late to the potty training party and started around Christmas (having had a couple of previous failed attempts beforehand) this time My lg is doing really well and at home I would say she is trained. She goes off to the toilet when she needs to etc and all is fine. Going out is the issue..she seems to be struggling with going to the toilet when at preschool etc and I'm not sure if this is common/what to do to help? Has anyone else had this issue?x

This is totally normal. My son was trained in house for ages. Took forever to add trousers to the equation as just kept wetting through them. Eventually one weekend he cracked it , because he was fully dry whole weekend, I braved it by sending him to nursery with no pull up on. Lots of spare boxers and it worked. Odd little accident. Now only in pull ups at night. It's a long journey but just got to keep prompting. Make sure she uses the toilet before leaving house and when she gets to nursery. You and little one have got this xx

@Ruth ah thank you for your reply. So glad it has clicked for your boy as well. It definitely is a long journey! Will keep at it and hopefully she will pick it up at preschool and out and about as well as she has at home soon x

When we out I just take her when I need ( or think she haven’t had wee for a long time ) I occupy her by helping me guarding the door or holding my bag and taking her toys to pee too . All the best x
