Selling Breastmilk???

So recently I posted on a community group on facebook for the town i live in, i posted about my milk and that i was selling it. I never put a specific price or anything on the post, i wanted to let the moms interested in buying my milk let me know what price they thought was fair. But I got attacked in the comments by multiple people, some saying I shouldn’t sell and I should just donate bc it is selfish of me, some saying that it is illegal and gross to sell my milk, and others saying i need my food handling card and need to be tested weekly, and others fighting each other over vaccines. Is it unusual or gross to sell my milk? is it wrong for me to sell it? (My baby is exclusively breast fed, and I pump simultaneously while feeding her during some feeds, and she doesn’t drink the pumped milk bc she drinks off tap🤣 so I sell the extra bc i am a bit of an over supplier) My baby is 4 months old and for the first 2 1/2 months I donated over 1500 oz, but I feel like I should be able to try to sell it and get a little bit of money for it. It is a lot of work to pump and bag milk daily. I was pumping 7-8 times a day but I have cut it down to 4-5 times a day bc i dread having to wash and dry my pump every time, and i dread having to stay up later every night to bag my milk, I think i deserve to be able to sell my breastmilk but am I wrong for that?? *Also side note* I make 3 oz bags and I have bagged and froze a total of about 2500 oz which means I have used over 800 milk bags🫣😯

No it's not weird. There are groups on Facebook that are specifically for Mom's that are selling and buying breast milk, so you wouldn't get attacked in those groups. (Currently pumping as I type this 🙃)

Not weird at all!! There’s specific groups for this all around the country, maybe try joining one of those?

No, it's not gross or weird. I would donate it to the local NICU, but sell it if you can. It is a lot of work.

Gosh I’m sorry. I personally have sold my extra milk with my first and now my second. Pumping is a lot of work and you’re spending money on bags, pump supplies, a sanitizer, and not to mention eating more food to keep a supply. I personally sell to tiny treasures and a local mom. Some Facebook groups are more oriented to selling and some are more towards donating. Maybe try to join a different Facebook group? I think it’s nice to donate but I would personally never donate. People would be paying for formula.. I charge $1 per ounce to a local mom and tiny treasures pays $1.20 an ounce. I do live in the Bay Area though so it’s an affluent area. Best of luck!
