I mean....you've gotta do what you've gotta do. If you had a nursery available within 20 mins walking distance, great. If you didn't, then I guess I'd be looking for one that is accessible by public transport. I'm trying to imagine how I would have gotten to nursery without a car. First nursery would have been a 15 min walk, a 15 min bus ride and a 5 min walk. So 35 min total. Then travel to work. Second nursery we moved to a small town with no public transport. So half an hour walk there, and half an hour walk back.
We're very fortunate in that our nursery is only 3 minutes drive, 8 minutes walk away from our home. We only have one car seat and there's been times we're I've been stuck in traffic on the way home, and my husband has just walked up to grab our son. Its taken so much pressure off us, as public transport can and often does go wrong! I'd definitely try for one as close as possible to home
We are London, car free. Nursery is 20mins away. We walk or cycle it, and it's fine. Slightly annoying that it's 10mins the other side of us than the train station, is my only gripe, would prefer it to be en route
are these choices like 15 minutes walking? driving? bus?
