To go or not to go…
My friends 50th birthday party is tonight & I really don’t want to go on my own as I don’t really know anyone so I’d be scared of sitting on my own like a lemon 🙄 am I terrible friend for not going? There’s 100 people on the invite list & most are going. I’ve already given my apologies but feeling guilty….

Why does it matter if you know anyone or not? It’s a good opportunity to make friends, no? Or at the very least, go to show support for your friend whose birthday it is. Milestone birthdays only come around once.
You’re right Neena, they do only come around once. I just don’t like feeling awkward sitting on my own (goes back to being bullied at school & spending lunch breaks alone 💔) - I am just going to show up but not stay long :)
I understand Incog. I usually make plans and then don’t want to go 🤣 but I know when I actually get there, I end up having a great time. Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is a great thing. Get glammed up, wear a nice outfit and go enjoy yourself. 🫶🏽
Asked hubby to go and he said no cos he doesn’t know anyone & doesn’t want to fork out for a babysitter for a party in Jan where he knows no-one 🙄
