Has anyone else’s baby dropped 2 centiles and what advice did you receive about it? Thank you

Hi, mine did. Went from 50 to 9. He was well in himself and meeting all his developmental milestones. So I just kept breastfeeding him best I could and decided not to stress about their stupid chart. Because nothing at all was wrong with him except where he fell on the stupid chart. Sending you strength. Just observe your baby and trust your instincts.

Thanks @Gina my son is exactly the same! I have been advised to supplement breastfeeding with formula or wean him early (he’s 5 months) but I have declined both of those options and I’m just going to carry on doing what I’m doing!

My (first) baby was born just above the 91st and by 12 weeks she was just below the 50th. The health visitors monitored her for a bit and she settled there. She then went up to above the 75th when she was eating 3 meals a day then back to around the 50th when she started walking. She's still there now at 3.5 years and perfectly healthy. She was never met to be big!

@Ella hi Ella, that’s what I named my daughter 🥹 was your bub overdue like mine? Mine was born at 94% but she was 2 weeks late, so I think she grew big in the womb 🤍

@Charley yes, she was 8 days overdue and I was induced with the pintocin drip so I think the fluid probably made her heavier too. She was exclusively breastfed 🙂 my August 2024 baby was also born on the 91st and has now settled on the 75th, he was 5 days overdue x

@Ella ohhh I was induced too with the drip, I wasn’t aware that can make babies heavier 🤍
