Thank you so much 😊
Gaviscon gives constipation ask your doctor for omeprazole instead that made a difference with my little one
I took my son to the doctors with the same problem, and it turns out he’s allergic to cows milk so now has prescription formula!
Ahh okay I will speak to doctors thank you
So my LO is the same. Gaviscon made it so much worse. She was passing rock hard Pebbles! She's now on a prescription milk for CMPA, omeprazole, takes a laxative twice a day. But the biggest difference to us is using the above windi pipes. I use once a day. Sort of wiggle it around, change position to up, down, left, right and I use it until she fully goes to the toilet and releases her trapped wind too. Different child now!
Is your baby on formula? If so, we were advised to give one feed a day as the ready made/pre-mixed bottles of formula as these have almost a laxative effect. It worked really well for our little girl but it is an expensive way of feeding. As others have said, gaviscon is notorious for making babies constipated so it’s definitely worth reaching out to the doctor again x
You can try to use a Windi gas passer!! It helps them pass gas and stools and it helps with colic as well! I haven’t had any issues with my baby but I have a friend whose baby was having problems and she did that one day and he was able to pass stool because it was very hard! Also, if they take formula, she switched formula to Enfamil Reguline. It helps soften stools!
