My father in law is stupid

I'm soooo pissed at my father in law . He knew his heater had a carbon monoxide leak since before Thanksgiving and he allowed me to expose my kids to that. Right after that my kids got a horrible upper resp infection. There is 11 ppl living in that house 3 of them are children ages 5, 4 &10 months. None of the adults are worried about the kids. 2 of the adults have been hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning, one had seizures the other had a stroke. My brother in law just called me to warn me not to bring my kids around them but no one is looking out for those kids. I saw red and redacted. I called the fire department and they sent first responders out. I didn't call to warn my father in law so ems is randomly going to show up at his house. He is gonna be pissed but I don't care he knowingly exposed my kids .he should be glad I don't kick his ass Told my husband that if I catch his father making a decision that compromises the safety of my children again he won't get another chance. I won't stop him from seeing his father but my kids won't be going back over there.He rolled his eyes like I'm over reacting. Am I crazy or is that an appropriate response
