I bought my own when they ran out. Couldn't be bothered waiting for doctors appontments. Just note what mg you're taking so you don't take too much x
I would ask for a repeat prescription to make sure you are getting the right dose, and also you should have a maternity exemption certificate so won’t have to pay for the medicine, vs buying it over the counter
I've bought one in a pharmacy and then asked the rest at the next midwife appointment...Also, do you guys think the 36 week is meant to be included or excluded?
You can get it from boots on the shelf xx
My consultant told me to just get it from Tesco 😂 about 50p a pack and then snap the tabs in half. Much cheaper for the NHS I would think
I got my first prescription from the hospital and asked if it would be a repeat that I could get from the doctors. They just told me to contact my doctors when I was low and they would sort it. So each time I’ve been low I’ve just filled in an online request from my doctors. I know it’s only cheap, but I’d rather get a freebie from the docs if I can
@Simona I was thinking the same thing the other day! I have a midwife appointment this coming Friday, so I’m going to double check as it’s confusing
You should be able to request it under your repeat prescriptions on the NHS app. If not tell your midwife & they should get your gp to re prescribe it x
My midwife sent a request to my doctors, they prescribed straught away collecting this week to start taking I'm on a high amount of dosage till 36 weeks too, high risk pregnancy c
Just as a heads up you may not be able to buy it bc pharmacies aren’t supposed to sell aspirin to you if you’re pregnant so it’s probably worth asking for a prescription anyway
