I'm so sorry to hear about your baby. My daughter was 7 months old when I got pregnant with my next daughter, and I had no complications. Had a vbac and a healthy baby. Doctors make recommendations, but your body will do what it is capable of.
@Megan so my ob said she would be okay with me trying after 9 months because by the time I'd be giving birth it would be close or longer than 18 months
@Susan what thank you made them allow you to do a vbac? Ive just heard that isn't done often. I dont think they would let me because im a diabetic and we usually have big babys. At 35 weeks my baby was almost nine and a half lbs. Its hard to know what my body is capable of because its failed me so many times i have quite the health history. Ive just read about rupturing of the uterus if its too soon and that worries me because I also cant take birth control and im afraid of it happening before im ready. I wanted to only wait about 6 months to try.. it may not happen immediately but idk
I've had several vbacs and no issues. You just have to listen to your body. If it's telling you to wait, then you should wait. I understand the desire to try earlier, but listen to your instincts.
@Susan im just afraid bc i feel like anything that can go wrong will... my first son had major medical issues he couldn't have survived he was missing about half of his heart. And this time the baby was healthy... he was perfect and then there was a knot in the umbilical cord and he had no heart beat. I never feel like the odds are in my favor
Oh my, I am so so sorry. May God bless you this time with a beautiful and healthy baby, in Jesus name!
Thank you. We are just so worried... i was so ready . . We had just finished his nursery
My ob told me to wait 18-24 months because thats when a c-section is fully healed but I know people that got pregnant a lot soon you just have to be really careful because you risk it ripping back open. I had a c-section 4 years ago and thats still a risk to me. So just talk to your ob to come up with a plan that will be safe for you.
