Help, mum guilt little one behind on milestones
My little one is so behind, he’s not sitting, crawls but only uses one side of his body (his left side he drags) not babbling only says “umma” no other sounds or words. He’s happy just to lay all day.
We have struggled with weaning (had the speech and language therapist involved, have now been discharged)
He’s On a dairy and soya free diet as they suspect he’s allergic. I feel his food is limited due to this.
We are due to see the health visitor at the end of the month, after a number of cancellations from them. Have read the 11month ages and stages questionnaire and I can only tick about three things that he’s doing.
Feel like such a bad mum as he’s so far behind what they expect.
Although I have not personally experienced this, it is NOT your fault!!!! Things like this are completely out of your control You are doing your best by him and will continue to do that! Heath Visitors have let you down by cancelling on you multiple times but this is not your fault! All you can do is support him and continue to try to reach out where you can to help him progress at his own pace. He will meet these milestones in his own way and at his own pace💙
