Taking another maternity leave?

I'm currently on maternity leave, returning to work in just two months. I had fertility treatment to get pregnant the first time and it's my intention to try for a second baby sooner rather than later. My company gives occupational maternity pay if employed for at least 12 months, I met this criteria. Here is my question: if I fall pregnant again soon (by any miracle) and return to work for less than 12 months, will I get the same pay again? I know I'm technically employed while being on maternity but not sure how it works when taking another maternity leave so soon again. Has anyone been in such situation? I haven't got any reply from my HR yet.

When i worked for a company that had the same maternity scheme, you had to be back working for them for like 4 to 6 months to re qualify for the maternity pay. It was listed in the policy though - if that helps at all?

@Ann-Marie I see, thanks. My policy doesn’t state anything about re-qualification period. It only states that I need to return for at least 3 months otherwise need to pay some money back

I was pregnant when I went back to work October and I’m off again come April lol get the same maternity, generally speaking unless it explicitly says no - which I doubt it would because it would be discriminatory, you’re good

I work in public sector and as far as I'm aware you are entitled to it for your next pregnancy with no issues. I have a friend who gave birth in 2022 then got pregnant again so didn't make it back for long at all!

HR qualified - all of your employment rights remain the same excluding right to salary when you’re on Mat leave so you’re absolutely entitled to maternity leave and SMP. Unless stipulated in your employee handbook or maternity policy you should also be entitled to your CMP.
