Toilet training

My 2.5 year old girl is absolutely NAILING toilet training as far as wees are concerned, but she’s very shy or embarrassed or nervous or something when it comes to #2s. If she really needs to go, she asks for a nappy and I have to change her out of her underwear fast so she can poo in a nappy urgently. If I invite her to use the toilet instead she gets really bashful and declines. I tried introducing a reward system but now she just SAYS she went in the toilet so she can get a prize, even though it’s not true. Anyway, now it seems she hasn’t done a poo for several days and I’m worried she’s basically made herself constipated because of this mental block she’s got about going in the toilet. I have two questions: is this a problem (dangerous? Unhealthy?) and what can I do to help her cross this final bathroom frontier???

My little boy was the exact same. Asked for a nappy when needing poo despite doing extremely well well wees. We introduced a "poo jar" with sweets that he isn't normally allowed i.e lolly's and little haribo bags which was sealed and transparent in the bathroom and I said this is for poos on the toilet. We told him this was the last time he was having a nappy then the following time when he asked I said we didn't have any nappies left, then when he asked again more urgently I said why don't you sit on the toilet while I look for one and he ended up going on the toilet and I gave him a huge amount of praise and he was so excited for the poo jar, since then he goes happily it was the initial going for him I think xx

We had exactly the same with my daughter when she was the same age. I saw someone on here had recommended watching a story on YouTube called Poo goes to pooland. I found it and watched it and thought this is so weird it’s never going to work but we watched it with her and every time she needed to go we reminded her that her poo needed to go back to pooland and somehow it did the trick! I have no idea why she bought into it but since that day we had no more problems with getting her to use the toilet 🤣. It’s worth a try!
