Disheartened- ER again.

Landed back in the ER this past Thursday for asthma exacerbation due to a respiratory illness. Not COVID, RSV or Flu just something basic he picked up at daycare I'm sure. We were admitted over Thanksgiving and he was put on daily symbicort as an aggressive medication step in order to keep him out of the ER so the fact that this still happened has me so scared and feeling hopeless like there's nothing that can beat this or control it for him. Pediatrician agreed to an allergy test and he was due for his iron levels anyway. Wondering if he could be anemic or have an allergy that's keeping him at a baseline inflammation. Hoping for some answers to that. But if everything turns up negative I have no idea what's next it feels like we're running out of options and my poor kid is gonna land in the ER every time he gets a bad cold. It's killing us 😞
