Mom anxiety

First time mom here to a 6 week old & let’s just say my mom anxiety is always high. From making sure he’s breathing during his naps & bedtime, to panicking about all the noises he makes. Can’t forget the nerves I get when he’s crying nonstop and I can’t figure out what’s wrong. Anyone else suffer from this ?

Yes absolutely! As a fellow first time mom I understand what you’re feeling and it’s completely valid to feel that way. Newborns are strange and do weird things, my little girl is 6 weeks as well and the noises she makes concern me the most. How do we know if they are normal?! No one ever tells you about the noises and that was the main concern I had on top of her breathing. I asked the doctors about them and they are normal!! Honestly the crying part is always the hardest to figure out as a first time mom. I always watch her cues, could she be hungry, diaper change, tired, uncomfortable, gassy or just need comfort? I follow the 5 S’s for babies and that helps sometimes. 1. Swaddle 2. Side or stomach position 3. Shushing 4. Swinging 5. Sucking But like stated before I always check to see if she is hungry, needing a diaper change, tired, uncomfortable, gassy or if she just needs comfort. And that always fixes the crying for me. You’ve got this mama!💜

I totally feel you on this. The anxiety of it sucks but I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling this. Literally everything my little one does makes me anxious because I just want her to be happy and healthy!
