The recommendation is 150-200ml per KG of weight. But I find it easier to just feed what baby wants, as the recommendation won’t be right for every baby.

Thank you! we got told we're over feeding but he's crying for more milk and then is fine having a extra oz! i think i'll stick to my mum instinct instead of listening to the gp xx

Definitely feed what baby wants. Mine was never a massive milk drinker so it always worried me he wasn’t having enough and even stopped drinking milk after 18 months altogether. I would always question it. But you as his mother knows best and he knows too xx

I think what drs recommend is 220 x their weight in kilos to be like the absolute max but I just feed my boy whatever he wants

Whatever they want x

@Molly ignore GP We got told that by nurses when our little boy went into hospital and it scared the shit out of me Every baby is different Our baby is now 5 months and not remotely larger than he should be he’s just a lovely cheeky little chunk

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pregnancybirthbaby.org.au/amp/article/understanding-baby-growth-charts I hope this can help you. You can opt for formula with less protein to reduce the risk of baby becoming overweight if you're not using the recommended measurements. My baby was averaging 300gms per week in the first weeks ( I'm breastfeeding ), so it's different for every baby, really.

Ignore GP when my daughter was about 2 weeks old in hospital was told to give her 30-40ml of BM every 2-3 hours. She was screaming going wild she took 160-200 months every 3 hours (slept though night no milk she’s never woke up for milk) they also made me wake her up to feed her 😂THEN when she was 7 months old in hospital was told to wake her again and 60ml-65ml per 1-2hours. They are idiots honestly demand feeding is the best baby gets milk when they want you know if you under or over feeding due to them crying or throwing up ect. Xx
