Don’t hesitate to reach out to your doctor they can prescribe you something if nothing else is helping.
Hemp tea
The only thing I could keep down at one point was a mix of coconut water, lemon, and pineapple juice. Loads of electrolytes and hydration is KEY Pre-prepared meals are also necessary. The smell of eggs cooking made me nauseous so I tried an egg bake. That worked! Also oatmeal with apples. Granted these didn’t always work/stay down, but I learned that the better my breakfast, the better the day 😅 It’s so hard, but you’ll get through it eventually!! There IS a light at the end of the pregnancy tunnel!
Man, I feel you—morning sickness is so debilitating and it really makes you feel like you’re constantly fighting just to get through the day. Even the simplest tasks take so much energy, and it’s hard not to feel defeated. I was just prescribed doxylamine today, so I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve heard it can be helpful. One thing that’s been helping me is instant pho noodles! The broth is really soothing for the stomach, and the noodles give me some carbs and energy. Adding a few veggies is great too if you can manage it. It’s honestly one of the only things I can eat without feeling terrible afterward. Also tart cherry juice, just a few sips! Sour stuff surprisingly helps with upset tummies! You’ve got this—take it one step at a time, and don’t be too hard on yourself. Morning sickness is tough, but it won’t last forever!
Thanks everyone! This is all super helpful and I’m trying things out. I just feel bad because my husband is taking on so much, I’m basically just a lump on the couch when I am not forcing myself to function for work (I luckily am remote, I have no idea how people who need to go in person survive at all!)
I thankfully can handle water and crackers but that’s about all I can handle right now. After trying ginger with my first pregnancy I can’t even think about it without gagging. I put some lemon electrolyte powder in my water yesterday, can’t say it helped my nausea at all but at least I know I got some nutrients. Taking my prenatal right before bed too so it stays down. Yesterday was a full couch day, just thankful my husband’s home to play with our toddler all day. 🥲
