Odd noises

Hey everyone! My little lad is doing some really odd cooing/babbling 😅 it’s kind of like a throaty ‘g’ sound and he does it over and over again. He also does this sound which almost sounds like a motorbike revving? Anyone else’s babes doing odd sounds? Should I be concerned?

Is it kind of like a throat growl? My little man does it too they like the feel of it on their throat and experimenting with new sounds and feelings. Nothing to worry about lol

@Danielle he does do a growl sometimes but it’s more of a gulping sounds almost?

It’s probably just normal vocal exploration! I used to joke that my baby didn’t really babble, but my little demon growled a lot 😅 she still makes a lot of funny sounds as a toddler, but she also chats and talks normally As long as he seems well in himself, then I wouldn’t be concerned.

One of my girls does the repetitive “G” sound in the back of her throat with her mouth closed, we call it her pigeon noise 😄 it’s totally normal, they’re practicing vocal variation and generally have the favourites based on the way it physically feels. My other twin girl prefers a good growl!

@Natalie yes that’s exactly what he does! With his mouth closed! I can’t even manage to do it myself 😂
