We just used the microwave for the MAM bottles but if you are going to be using a Nuby rapid cool I would also recommend the Milton cold water steriliser x
I used the tommee tippee steam and this time using milton cold water. As soon as you open the lid of the steam any bottles left in are no longer sterile, cold water stays sterile as long as in the water x
We’ve tried microwaving the actual bottles, microwave steriliser, Milton cold water steriliser and I didn’t love any of them. This time we’ve got the Tommee Tippee UV steriliser and drier in one, I think this might be the perfect one for me. No burning my hands or having a separate drying rack for the bottles with the Milton one (I know you don’t have to dry them but my sensory issues cannot with wet bottles and I didn’t like the idea the chemicals were being consumed by my prem babies) xx
Milton cold water steriliser! X
First time mum so can’t talk from experience but I’ve bought Mam bottles and a Milton steriliser! Our microwave recently broke so that threw that option out for us 🙃
No advice re: Mam bottles as I never used them but we absolutely loved the steam steriliser and dryers (we had a Minbie one) as I found I was sterilising stuff but then it felt pointless then drying them off again which would introduce bacteria again. I didn’t want to use Milton as it’s essentially dilute bleach and it felt wrong to not rinse and dry diluted bleach from bottles before feeding baby from them personally xx
We used mam bottles first time and just sterilised in the microwave and will do again this time too. Way quicker and easier than getting a separate steriliser x
I’m going to use Milton cold water steriliser this time. Everything ready in 15 minutes and the solution is effective for 24 hours x
