Lots of high protein and fiber snacks ! Protein bars Nut mix Fruit Peanut butter and fruit or a starch Cereal Crackers Cheese or alternative Yogurt and berries and granola Always eat your cravings but add some healthy and filling to it so you stay ftlp longer I had gestational diabetes so I really had to pay attention to what I ate but also had to find ways to feed the hunger that never seemed to end hahaha
I'm not sure what your lunch looks like, you mentioned rice. I also love rice but have switch from white to whole grain brown cooked in bone broth. It keeps me full longer, and you don't have that immediate sugar spike and crash with white. For snacks, I precut a ton of veggies for the week and will rotate between 2-3 different dips for variety. There's a great book called Lunchbox by Aviva Wittenberg. I love it because I can modify lunches in the books to suit my 5yr old, hubby and myself based on our taste bud and nutritional needs.
I brought protein bars, fruit, maybe a peanut butter banana wrap for the afternoon. Also it helped a lot to make sure to drink tons of water so I brought a huge glass water bottle and kept filling
