Post C section contacts

Who do you contact if you have concerns about any pain or swelling post C section? I’m about 5 weeks post partum and thought I was healing nicely but in the last few days my belly looks and feels swollen and is a lot more tender. The pain feels close to how it was in the first week. I’m no longer under the midwife so would I contact my GP or maybe triage?

It’ll be GP from now on xx

Health visitor or gp

You can go to triage . NHS normally state that you can attend triage up to 6 weeks postpartum 😇

Triage my lovely. You can use them up 6 weeks PP x

Yeah I got told triage as well x

My triage was only 28days post partum so I think different hospitals have different rules but definitely GP or HV can help. I’d suggest GP if you can as sounds like there could be a possible infection brewing which HV will make you see GP for medication anyway! Hope you feel better soon!

@Anna my bad I was told from discharge from midwife you’re no longer under hospital/triage care 😞 might just be wales 🙈 x

@Amy not sure most hospitals in London do till 6 weeks x I think that’s because you get your GP check at around 6-8 weeks so till then you are your hospitals responsibility x

Call triage ☺️ x

You can go to triage that is what they told me before I was discharged from the hospital.

Thank you so much everyone 🥰 xx

I went to triage
