it’s different for every toddler but just go with the flow bc if your baby isn’t ready it’s not going to go well so follow their cues x
Every kid is different - we tried just after his 2nd birthday and it was very clear he wasn’t ready. Then one day he just said he wanted to wear his big boy pants and that that was that (he was about 2.5). He was dry within 2 weeks with very few accidents after that. It good to get a few books to plan the seed and then you can take them shopping to buy some pants that they can choose to make it super exciting. Even choose a potty themselves. I say this but our son refused to sit on the potty - he just went straight to toilet!
They have the ability to learn at any age.
