Postpartum Hair Loss

I am 4 month PP, started shedding at 3 month, it’s getting out of control, hair everywhere in the house, the worst is after washing my hair. I was expecting this coming but it’s a lot worse than I thought. I think I have lost 50% of my volume so far, how much longer it will last? Anybody experiencing it too? Advice?

Omg I was just noticing the same thing today. My pillow is full of hair my baby even gets some of it on her and in her mouth ugh 😩 I am 3 months pp…. I’m going to try moisturizing it more often and protective hair styles. That should help a bit. I now a mom of 2 under 2 and I barely get to care for myself nowadays so yea hair is the last thing on my mind hence why it’s all over 😭

No advice other than I experienced it too last time and I’m expecting it this time too. It went on for quite a while and drove me crazy and took me about two years for everything to normalize. It wasn’t that intense for two years don’t get me wrong, but for my hair to start growing again took a good while. Other than staying on top of your nutrition there’s not much to do other than to roll with the punches. One of the many prices we have to pay!

It grows back !!! Even though I expected it after my 2nd pregnancy, it still brought me to tears. So understand that your feelings are completely valid and it happens to everyone. Taking prenatal vitamins can help, but it may still happen

My hair is fucked. I have stopped looking at the loss. I can see the sparse patches on my hairline. I vacuum twice a day because I feel like it’s everywhere. Honestly I don’t think anything we use will help because it’s hormonal. Just try to eat good and take your vitamins. I’ve been told it comes back. Can’t wait to look like a chia pet!
