Question about TumTums!

We use a TumTum for my daughter’s water and she currently has milk via a bottle. Number one… how do you clean your TumTums?! Number two… do you give milk in your TumTum? Are they safe to microwave? How long would you let the milk be out at room temperature? Do you use a new TumTum for each milk feed?

Tum tums aren’t made for hot drinks, only cold or room temp. I’ve given my son cold cows milk in his. The base can be microwaved, but not the top/straw, due to it containing metal in the weight. At least that’s the case with my versions anyway, but some of mine are quite old. I usually hand wash, hot soapy water, and use a straw brush to clean the straw. I’ve also run them through the dishwasher too. I personally wouldn’t use for multiple milk feeds, I would clean it in between. I don’t tend to leave room temp milk out for very long.

Can’t say about milk as we’ve not used it for that, but like Chloe we take it apart and wash in hot soapy water each day & then it goes in the dishwasher too probably once a week. We have a few of them now!

Does anyone know how old the tum tum cups go up to in age ? the straw sippy cups

Thank you all. What do you use for milk feeds?

@Alyssa They have larger cups and water bottles as well as the little cups, my eldest child switched to a water bottle probably somewhere around 15/18mo, after using the bigger cup, and was still using it on rotation with his other cups and bottles until around 3- I only got rid because it was a bit old and tatty.

Still breastfeeding over here, so I’m no help! But do need to move him from a bottle when he takes expressed milk
