Toddlerhood

To be honest this sounds similar to what a lot of us are going through at the minute, and I don’t mean giving in to your toddler, I mean the whining and scratching and demanding attention. I think it’s just a development thing at the minute so don’t be too hard on yourself and think you’ve done something wrong. It sounds like you’ve given your toddler exactly what they need and they’re just being hard work at the minute as the rest of us mums are all too familiar with at the minute 😊

I don’t know whether you’re doing the right thing or not! (First time mum over here too!!) I guess I give my little one attention too when she whines, I don’t know what else to do. I do try and stick to no when I say no, it is so hard though! Looking forward to seeing responses as I also have no idea what I’m doing 🙈😂

@Colleen thank you lovely, that's refreshing to hear, I just feel so much pressure to do what's 'right' and raise him properly and sometimes feel like I'm completely failing

@Natalie thank you, honestly It's just so hard and I have no mum friends or anything so I'm pretty much on my own of I'm struggling! Thank you for making me feel like I'm not alone 😊

Your their mummy so you’ll know what’s right and if giving them attention feels right then do it. People are constantly saying I spoil my wee girl and she’ll never be able to do things on her own etc but I don’t believe that to be the case, I think we do what feels right and I’ve no doubt they’ll thrive and they won’t need our attention forever!
