Anyone's six months olds not eating much solids?

He wants food and gets excited but then looses interest fast and eats a bite or two!

Have you tried grabbing a spoon and you eating at the same time they say that that makes a huge difference if your baby can see you eating. Maybe something to try

Yes same here. We started trying baby lead weening which isn’t for everyone but we let him pick the food up by himself, he is slowly getting to where he wants to eat a little more. I just try to do some form of solid every day and over exaggerate my chewing actions and swallowing actions so he sees what he needs to do. He is slowly getting better but we are still working on it!! I would say it’s normal because we are completely introducing something so foreign to them! Just keep it up mama!!

When I first introduced solids to my son, he was not interested and made the cutest ugly face. He still does when the spoon goes in his mouth but the difference to getting him to eat was the type of spoon. He does not like silicone spoons only the stainless steel ones.

@Pertula I'll switch up spoons!!

We include food just a little he likes it but rather get on boob… my first son was the same wasn’t til close to 8 months he was just open… guess we shall see with this one
