Potty training

Anyone’s little one show no interest in the potty or toilet? We have been trying to encourage going for wees and poos on the potty however she shows no interest and just stands up and wees on the floor. I’m not going to push her but I hear so many people saying ‘my child was potty trained at 18 months’ and I keep thinking is she behind 😫

Nope, he'll cry and scream even at the word potty. He plays with it for the baby doll but is more interested in the toilet. We don't have a seat for the toilet at the moment so not going to encourage it rn

Nope we’ve not even begun. My eldest did start until he was over 3 so I’m not concerned in the slightest

Mine has shown some interest but I'm not pushing it. My friend felt a lot of pressure to potty train before 18months and didn't manage until age 3.5. For my daughter for the past few months I've got potty training books that she enjoys reading at times, we play with stuffed animals on the toilet, and she started 'helping' me with going to the toilet myself 😅 she's done a couple of wees herself in the toilet so my next step is to try her with knickers but I'm doing some prep beforehand to try and prevent so much mess.

We’ve not even started! The potty is there and occasionally when her older brother needs a wee, she’ll go and sit on it but I’m not pushing it! My eldest was 3 when we potty trained, and he got it within 3 days and no accidents! So I’ll be waiting ☺️

I thought she was ready just before Christmas but she’s started to say she doesn’t want to sit on it when we ask. For now, I’m taking her lead but will probably see how she is again in a few months. I’ve seen on Tik Tok actually that if they still stand up and poo, that it could potentially mean they’re not quite ready? Not sure how true that is but it has made me think about how she poos etc.

My little girl was doing amazingly! She would tell us when she needed to go and we felt like we were on a winning streak then she started going to nursery and wouldn't go there and this set us back at home. We didn't push it as we wanted her to settle at nursery first but think we're nearly ready to give it another go. 😬🤞

Nope although he tells us when his nappy is wet or he’s done 💩…. He sits on the potty, demands toilet paper but doesn’t do anything. I don’t listen to what others say in all fairness
