Huge win!!

today my 13 month old was independently playing and i had left some applesauce out for him in case he wanted a snack, well i realize he was being kinda quiet so i look over and he had grabbed the spoon out of the applesauce and was eating it all on his own!! he had never shown interest in trying to eat with a spoon independently before and to look over and see him put together how to do it just from watching me was amazing! all of this to say, we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to make sure our babies are developing and hitting milestones right on time, but they’re watching us do the same things we’re trying to teach them all time and eventually they’ll figure out how to do it! now i’m gonna go cry because my baby’s growing up lol

That’s awesome. My daughter won’t let me feed her anymore. She started grabbing her veggies and ate them all on her own.

@Rosemary McMurray it’s so bittersweet! my son started that a little bit ago, he prefers when we just put the food on his tray so he can grab and eat it

That is so amazing congratulations Mama🥳

@Tiffy thank you!!

that’s amazing!! i was concerned my son wasn’t waving and the other day i saw someone at the store i knew and i waved to them and that night before bed (we live with my parents and brothers) he goes around to everyone to say goodnight and he started waving to them. i couldn’t believe it!!

@Riley that’s so amazing!! i feel like i’ve had similar experiences with his waving and clapping milestones, i was getting so stressed with his 1 yr appointment coming up and he hadn’t clapped yet, turns out i just need to play popular from wicked🤣 he clapped the whole time! it’s amazing how one small thing will get the skill to finally click!
