Should baby we woken for night feeds?

Hi my baby is 7 weeks and seems to be sleeping longer stretches during night. The other night he hadn’t woken after 5 hours before last feed so we woke him as we were worried. Is it okay to naturally just let them wake for a feed?

I let my little girl sleep as long as she can during the night. I think it’s fine if they are past their birth weight. Enjoy the rest mama

Yep, same as above comment, if they're past their birth weight then they'll wake themselves!

Same as above, my little girl is just over 6 weeks and through the night I let her sleep. They will wake and let us know when they are hungry ☺️

As long as babies gaining weight, there’s no problem with them sleeping longer stretches at night

I would also suggest checking his weight on the percentile trends, my baby has been putting on weight and is past birth weight, but the health visitor pointed out that he has dropped from the 25th percentile to just below the 9th (we had a rocky start to feeding), so now we have to do top up feeds during the day and make sure he wakes every 3-4 hours at nighttime 😬 (tbf though, he generally wakes us up way before that!) x
