Heart Arrhythmia

Hi! I had my baby via emergency c-section on December 11th. But at Xmas week i started having heart arrhythmias I thought it was going to go away within the days but i still have it. I have them a lot during the day. Specially when im cleaning or walking. (Being active). I cut off caffeine thinking it was that. And i also stopped taking my pain medication thinking it was that. But is still going😔 and by now im getting worried about it. Sometimes i think is my anxiety i have really bad anxiety and plus baby doesn’t let me sleep well. At this point idk what is it. I message my doctor telling her what was going on. I’ll leave what she replied here 👇 I have an appointment with her on Tuesday. But anxiety is killing me thinking im going to have a heart attack anytime soon😔😭 Idk if should i go to the ER or just wait for my appointment.

I’m sorry to hear that you are having anxiety issues. I have to go through an emergency c section too. And I’m experiencing some type of PTSD. I have a 13 days old baby and I called my doctor to ask for help. I started therapy and meditation 🧘 routine to help me. I also started to do some formula to help me to get some extra sleep. Whatever it’s your journey be kind to yourself. You will be ok and you will be figure it out. Stay positive ❤️here for you

Hi, I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. I had heart arrhythmia and palpitations too after my births and during pregnancy. Please go get this checked out since it sounds like it’s a new symptom. There are cardiac things that can show up after birth. I had a c section too, my HR was very low and I was having arrhythmias. Turned out my BP was high which it never was before- so I went to the ER and was admitted overnight for monitoring. I had post partum preeclampsia and they helped me with some BP med, electrolytes etc. I was ok, but I share that to tell you please go in and get checked. Cardiac stuff is out of the realm of OB… so IMHO, get the opinion of a cardiologist asap .

It could very likely be nothing! And could be due to lack of sleep and anxiety. Just encourage you to take care of yourself and be seen.
